Testimonial for Maria Caiozzo and Balanced Canine Products, Inc.
I first met Maria when she was working at OrthoPets, Inc. in February of 2012. My 2 1/2 year old, competitive field trial Golden Retriever, Casey, had come up lame on his right front leg and I had not successfully found a reason or treatment. Coincidentally, I had been visiting my friend and expert in the field of canine sports, Dr. M. Christine Zink, where she said a colleague recommended Maria and OrthoPets to help with Casey’s lameness. This turned out to be phenomenal advice, as Casey received the best possible care, both veterinary and canine rehabilitation. Casey had a couple of ribs out that had eventually caused his shoulder assembly, and triceps to essentially freeze up causing his lameness. Veterinary chiropractic and acupuncture services were provided to realign his ribs and help loosen his exceptionally tight muscles.
At the same time, I worked very closely with Maria, who is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Technician, as we loosened up his right side with a rigorous routine of stretching, lasering, and exercises to get Casey back up to competition shape. Maria was impressed with his musculature and used her exceptional amount of rehab experience to both treat him and challenge him as his condition improved. Each session was a continuation of the previous one with Casey making remarkable progress under Maria’s guidance. Casey can do an amazing combat crawl under Maria’s Pro-cones!
I would leave each session with my home tasks that I performed using Maria’s therapeutic exercise equipment from Balanced Canine Products. I have a peanut, ball, and balance disc that Maria showed me how to use to stretch and strengthen Casey’s front assembly and core. The equipment is durable and has held up to the use of my strong 68 pound Golden.
A happy ending to my story – Casey won the Qualifying Stake at the 2012 Golden Retriever Club of America field trial only 6 months after starting my journey with Maria!
Maria has moved on to other professional ventures in rehabilitation, but still gets to see Casey working and playing. I continue to perform exercises with my equipment from Balanced Canine Products and Casey loves doing them!

I am a veterinarian and my own dog, Jasper, became acutely paralyzed in early 2013 after an unexpected spinal injury. I met Maria Caiozzo when she became Jasper’s physical therapist not long after his back surgery. I immediately became comfortable with Maria, as it was apparent that she was very skilled and truly cared about me and Jasper and our success in recovery. We worked together for many months, Maria showing me different exercises and equipment that were necessary and useful for Jasper’s recovery. As a veterinarian, I know a lot about my pet’s health, but I was not trained in specialty work such as physical therapy and rehabilitation, so I found that I learned a great deal from Maria that I now incorporate into my practice today. I purchased and used several pieces of equipment for Jasper’s therapy and Maria took time and explained how everything worked, why they were important and she followed up to make sure I was comfortable with their use. I felt a great support from her as we worked on our therapy, both with her and at home. Since that time, I have referred many of my clients to Maria and they have been equally as impressed with her skill, her knowledge and her true caring nature and compassion. Maria is my first choice for PT and rehab information and equipment, as I trust her ethics, her knowlege and her abilities.

I have been working with Maria Caiozzo and Balanced Canine Products for the past few months and have been very happy with my experience.
In February, we set up a new veterinary rehabilitation service. I researched several sources for the laser, e-stim, and exercise equipment.
One person I contacted was Maria at Balanced Canine Products. She responded to my emails quickly with detailed answers to my many questions. We discussed various types of equipment and, with her experience, she was able to recommend brands and types to fit our hospital’s particular needs.
We ended up purchasing the majority of our supplies through Maria and are very happy we did. Maria checked in with me by email throughout the process, even emailing to be sure everything had arrived on time and was functioning properly. In addition, she provided clinical tech support as we started using the equipment.
Not only are we seeing improved results in my patients, but I feel comfortable knowing I have Maria to contact should any questions arise.
I highly recommend Balanced Canine Products for veterinary rehabilitation equipment. Their prices are competitive, shipping is speedy, and customer service is outstanding!
